Your trial log
Every trial day you RSVP to lands here, so you can see what you have already tried and what is still on your list, instead of losing track across six different group chats.
Free trial days at local sports teams, art studios, tutoring programs, and clubs, all in one place. Browse what's coming up, bring a friend, and go see if it's your thing.
Free to browse and RSVP. Free for organizations to list.
Free trial days already happen at plenty of programs. Firstday just puts them all in one place, so finding one doesn't depend on already knowing someone on the inside.
On a trial day, nobody in the room has done this before either. That is what makes it safe to show up solo, and easy to show up with a friend if you would rather not.
One trial is usually all it takes to find out if something is your thing. Firstday surfaces the day worth showing up for, and makes sure you are never the only new face there.
What's out there
Firstday shows what is starting near you this week, sorted by how far you would have to travel to get there.
The matcher
Firstday opens with a quick interest picker instead of a wall of categories to scroll. It reads what you are into, where you live, and how far you can reasonably travel, then ranks the trial days that fit.
Tap the things you are curious about and Firstday weighs them into themes. There are no right answers, and you can update it whenever your interests change.
Trial days are ordered by how closely they line up with what you picked, then by how long it takes you to get there on transit.
Once you are in
Every trial day you RSVP to lands here, so you can see what you have already tried and what is still on your list, instead of losing track across six different group chats.
RSVP solo, or bring a friend along on the same invite. You can also see who else from your school or neighbourhood is already going.
How it works
A quick interest picker, under a minute. Update it whenever your interests change. Under 16s need a parent or guardian to approve the account first.
Firstday ranks trial days by how well they fit what you picked and how far you would travel. RSVP to the ones you like, solo or with a friend.
Everyone else there is new that day too. Check in when you arrive, and decide afterward if it is worth going back to.
For organizations
Most programs already run some kind of free trial or drop-in day to bring new people in. List the one you already do, or set one up, and see who's coming before the day arrives.
Firstday is built for the small operations that run on volunteers and rarely have anyone to spare for outreach.
Firstday is free for organizations while we run the initial pilot in the GTA. If that ever changes, we will give at least 30 days notice before charging anyone.
List your organizationIf yours is not here, write to caelen@truemeridianai.com and a person will answer.
Yes. Making a profile, browsing trial days, and RSVPing all cost nothing, whether you go solo or bring a friend. Organizations list a day for free too, at least during the pilot.
No. Bringing a friend is optional. On a trial day everyone attending is new, so showing up alone is the same as showing up with someone: either way, you are not the only first-timer in the room.
Yes, with a parent or guardian. Anyone under 16 needs a guardian to approve the account, and the guardian is asked to approve each RSVP before it is confirmed.
Nothing right now. Firstday is free for organizations while we run the initial pilot. If a paid tier ever launches, current listings get at least 30 days notice first.
The Greater Toronto Area to start, including Toronto, Peel, York, Durham, and Halton, beginning with a small pilot group of local organizations.
It compares what you picked in your interest profile against how an organization describes its trial day, then weights the result by travel distance. You see the matches and choose which to RSVP to. Nothing is booked on your behalf.
Firstday starts in the Greater Toronto Area. Have a look around the app, or get in touch if you run a program.
